‘The Scottish Psychopath’ is currently in a heated feud with CM Punk

Drew McIntyre wants to square battle against a former WWE Champion once more. McIntyre has competed against some of the top talents of several periods, including Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, and Kurt Angle. When questioned at Fanatics Fest about a fantasy battle in the future, the former World Champion said that it would be against someone he has already squared off against:

“I have lots of dream matches, but since we’re sitting right here [Looks at Big E]. All of us are thinking as positively as we can. We’re all hoping for a big piece of news, perhaps a big miracle, we get Big E back in the ring. We had a fun little match fighting for the world title.

“One of my favourite matches and you got the Big W, so I owe you, buddy. So if that was ever to come to pass, that would be a dream match.”

McIntyre previously challenged Big E for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel 2021 in Saudi Arabia, and Big E won. Big E, who has been out of action for over two and a half years, indicated in a recent interview that his prospects of making a return to the ring had become a “race against the clock.”

Drew McIntyre mocks CM Punk again

The feud between former WWE champion Drew McIntyre and CM Punk is one of the finest in WWE right now. The ill blood between these two has reached its pinnacle. WWE developed the storyline between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre when Pepsi Phil was hurt while attempting McIntyre’s impending shock DDT at Royal Rumble 2024.

WWE managed to tell a story in which Drew McIntyre came out and revealed that he intentionally injured CM Punk; the build of the feud was all about McIntyre stealing CM Punk’s spot; everything was going according to McIntyre’s plan until Punk decided to pay him back, costing him his three massive title matches.

Drew McIntyre made the feud more personal by stealing CM Punk’s handband, which featured his wife and puppy on it. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre faced up for the first time at SummerSlam 2024 in a special guest referee bout.

The conflict between Punk and McIntyre at the Fanatics Fest is only getting started. Drew McIntyre startled fans as he walked out on the CM Punk theme song. McIntyre appeared in a black hoodie, covering his face and copying Punk’s entrance, before revealing his identity. Drew McIntyre then ridiculed fans, stating, “F**K CM Punk”
