Potential spoiler on Drew McIntyre vs CM Punk teased
Drew McIntyre are two of the biggest egos in the active WWE roster, who have been in a feud since the beginning of this year. Their heated feud carried out throughout the road to WrestleMania 40 and peaked on the grand show after Punk made Mcintyre lose his World Heavyweight Championship within minutes. Although both went medically uncleared to compete, their rivalry peaked on the Weekly Television shows.
Drew McIntyre is now medically cleared and now is all set to face Damian Priest to regain the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle 2024 in his hometown Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. As Drew is focused on the upcoming championship bout, he has recently teased of offering a title shot to CM Punk on the recent appearance after WWE SmackDown.
Drew McIntyre vows to offer CM Punk a title shot
After SmackDown went off air, Drew Mcintyre faced Jey Uso in a dark match. Before the match began, Mcintyre addressed the WWE Universe at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York. Drew said that after he wins the World Heavyweight Championship, he would offer CM Punk a title shot. He said that Punk’s ego is so big and would say yes to the title match.
He said that it would go viral on the internet and ticket sales would peak. However when the bell rings, he will embarrass him more than he got embarrassed in UFC. He would then move on from him.
Drew McIntyre said
“When I win the title, I’ll offer him a title match. His ego is so big, he will say ‘yes’ to the title match. Social media will freak out. Tickets will fly. There will be a buzz you’ve never seen. Punk and I will be in this ring. Eye-to-eye with each other. The bell will ring, and then I’ll embarrass him worse than be embarrassed himself in the UFC. And we’ll move on.”
After the promo, Drew fought Jey Uso and defeated him in the dark match on SmackDown, which marked his first match after his injury. Could we be able to see Drew McIntyre as a four time World Heavyweight Champion there? Comment your thoughts below.
