Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn: Head-to-head record in WWE

The two stars have a severe disdain for each other

There are many feuds and rivalries in WWE that are reignited time-to-time and the disdain never goes away, the feud between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn is one such rivalry that has always lurked in the backdrop.

McIntyre and Zayn have remained the top stars in the Stamford-based promotion for a long time but despite multiple clashes, they don’t seem to hash their beef as it pop-ups from time to time.

Mcintyre has been with the Stamford-based promotion since 2007, barring a few years. McIntyre captured his first WWE title in 2009 when he defeated John Morriss to become the Intercontinental champion.

Since then, McIntyre has held the Undisputed WWE title two times, he has also held the WWE Tag Team Championship two times with Cody Rhodes & Dolph Ziggler (Nic Nemeth). The titles that Scottish Psychopath has held in the promotion also include the NXT Championship in 2017 and the World Heavyweight title, which he lost immediately following his win at WrestleMania 40.

On the other hand, Zayn joined the Stamford-based promotion in 2013 and has been one of the most prominent stars since especially in his home country Canada. While Sami has not held the World title like Drew, he has held the NXT title once as well as the Intercontinental title four times.

Zayn has also achieved multiple tag titles in the WWE as he has held both the World Tag Team titles and the WWE Tag Team titles once with Kevin Owens

Head-to-head record

The two stars have fought each other a total of 32 times this includes live shows, broadcasted shows, battle royals, WarGames clashes, tag team matches as well as Royal Rumble matches. When it comes to singles competition McIntyre and Zayn have met 20 times in the squared ring, twelve of which were broadcasted matches.

McIntyre and Zayn first locked horns on the October 22, 2021 episode of Friday Night SmackDown which emanated from the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas, USA. The Scottish Psychopath picked up the win in their first meeting.

However, Zayn has been unable to exact his revenge as McIntyre has emerged on top eleven out of twelve times in their clashes so far. In their fifth meeting, the clash ended in a no-contest, which makes their current head-to-head record at 11-0-1.
