‘The Scottish Psychopath’ made his WWE debut in 2007
‘The Scottish Psychopath’ Drew McIntyre debuted with the Stamford-based promotion in 2007, he managed to capture the WWE Intercontinental Championship as well as the WWE Tag Team Championship (with Cody Rhodes as The Dashing Ones).
However, he failed to make an impression on the fans and was released by the promotion in June 2014. After a few years in TNA, ICW, Evolve, and the independent circuit, McIntyre returned to the promotion in 2017 and performed in its developmental territory, NXT.
McIntyre won the NXT Championship and defended it two times before losing to Andrade in November 2017. He was later promoted to the main roster, where he managed to capture the WWE World Tag Team Championship (with Dolph Ziggler).
‘The Scottish Psychopath’ continued his momentum, winning the WWE Championship twice in 2020 and 2021. After winning the World Heavyweight title in a brutal battle with Seth Rollins, McIntyre’s title reign was ended before it even began as Damian Priest cashed in his MITB contract and won.
McIntyre faced Damian Priest at the 41st edition of WrestleMania.
