In the history of the Royal Rumble, only four women have entered the Men’s Rumble match.
WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is only days away, and it will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event has announced some of the biggest names in the history of the event, from John Cena to Roman Reigns and other marquee superstars.
Diving into the history of the Royal Rumble event, it was not until 2018 that WWE introduced a separate Royal Rumble match for the women’s division. But long before there was a 30-person over-the-top-rope bout for the female stars, women had already made their presence felt in the Men’s Rumble.
This tradition continued even after the introduction of the Women’s Rumble match. Here are the only four tough women to ever enter a Men’s Royal Rumble match in the history of the match:
4. Nia Jax (2019)
Nia Jax has an untouchable history so far when it comes to the Royal Rumble match. At the 2019 edition of the historic event, The Irresistible Force first competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, entering at No.29 and scoring three eliminations before being tossed out of the ring by the eventual winner, Becky Lynch.
She then shocked the fans by attacking R-Truth as he was about to enter the Men’s Rumble match at No. 30 and took his spot. This made Jax the only woman in history to compete in two Rumble matches on the same night.
3. Kharma (2012)
Kharma was one of the most feared competitors signed by WWE. Although just after her debut, she took a hiatus due to her real-life pregnancy in 2011. But one year later, Kharma shocked the world by entering the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Her intimidating presence scared the light out of Michael Cole who was tossed out by Kharma as she became the third woman to compete in the Men’s Rumble match in history.

2. Beth Phoenix (2010)
The second woman in WWE history to enter the Men’s Royal Rumble match was the powerful and resilient Beth Phoenix in 2010. Not only did she enter, but she sent shockwaves across the entire WWE landscape. The Glamazon stood toe to toe with the 7-foot-tall Great Khali.
As he picked her up and was about to toss her over the top rope, Beth tricked Khali into kissing her, eliminating The Giant from the match in one of the most shocking WWE moments ever. However, it was seconds later that she was eliminated by CM Punk.
1. Chyna (1999, 2000)
The trailblazer who was the first one to defy the odds and enter the Men’s Royal Rumble was the Ninth Wonder of the World, Chyna. She first entered the 1999 Royal Rumble match at No. 30 and established her dominance right from the get-go, eliminating one competitor from the match that lasted only over thirty seconds. Chyna once again entered the match a year later, having a similar performance, but she etched one of the most iconic moments in the history books of WWE forever.
