Call of Duty collaborates with WWE
Last week, Activision’s highly successful video game title Call of Duty promised a crossover with WWE. They will reveal more about this cooperation on July 17, one week before Season Five is released. Rhea Ripley is first seen in the launch trailer brandishing a weapon that would make Papa Haitch proud, before picking up and utilizing something more powerful. Later, she enters the ring for a mixed tag.
It’s unclear if the luchador Ripley faces up against is Rey Mysterio, although the WWE Hall of Famer, along with WWE champion Cody Rhodes, is an available “operator” in the game.
The clip revealed that there would be a component of the game where players may enter a wrestling ring and defeat their opponents in the squared circle. Ripley was seen doing Rhodes’ famous “Cross Rhodes” finishing technique at one point in the 75-second film.
Ripley’s appearance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 adds to her already successful year. She was one of the cover athletes for WWE 2K24, with Rhodes and Bianca Belair, becoming the first female wrestlers to get their own WWE 2K cover.
Ripley again successfully defended her Women’s World Title against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40 in April, although she had to give up the belt later that month due to a shoulder injury. However, she made the most of her absence from the ring by marrying AEW Superstar Buddy Matthews last month.
WWE fans will undoubtedly appreciate playing with Ripley and some of their favorite superstars when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 is out next week.
How can you get WWE superstar’s skin in Call of Duty?
Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley’s skin is exclusively available through the Battle Pass system. To unlock WWE’s Mami, players must have at least 1100 Call of Duty points.
Rhea’s COD skin is the cheapest of the three prominent WWE stars in the game. A striking purple Rhea Ripley suit, similar to her Judgement Day attire, is also accessible once a player gets farther into the battle pass. Rhea Ripley’s two skins can be retained for an extended period in the game.
Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes, the current WWE Undisputed Champion, is also set to appear as a playable character in Call of Duty Season 5. Along with the American Nightmare, his trademark technique, Cross Rhodes, is incorporated into the gameplay.
The game includes a Cody Rhodes operator package, which grants access to Cody Rhodes’ finishing move Cross Rhodes, as well as a huge decal, weapon charm, weapon sticker, blueprints, and other items. Unlocking Cody Rhodes’ skin and operator package requires 2400 Call of Duty points.
Rey Mysterio
The legendary Luchador Rey Mysterio’s skin is available as a package. When the game launches on July 24, 2024, the highflyer will be available for purchase in the COD shop.
Rey Mysterio’s operator package costs the same as Cody Rhodes’, which is priced at 2400 Call of Duty points. Rey Mysterio’s operator bundle includes his trademark move Bulldog, as well as a loading screen, weapon charm, two weapon blueprints, and a weapon sticker.
