WWE SmackDown is set for another eventful episode tonight, with the August 28 show taped in Ottawa, Canada. The latest spoilers point to major developments involving the Undisputed WWE Championship picture, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, and several rising stars.

4. Blake Monroe and Giulia get into a fight
Blake Monroe addresses her controversial SmackDown debut and explains why she purposely botched her own match. The situation quickly becomes heated when Giulia confronts her.
The two women eventually get into a slugfest, adding another layer to their developing rivalry. The segment could prove important as WWE continues building Monroe’s character and her place on SmackDown.
3. Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton trade heated words
Cody Rhodes speaks about his upcoming battle with Randy Orton in Atlanta, with the “American Nightmare” showing plenty of emotion ahead of the highly anticipated showdown.
Orton interrupts, leading to a tense verbal exchange. However, the two are reminded that they cannot get physical before their SNME match, as doing so could cost them the opportunity to compete for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the future.
2. CM Punk and Sami Zayn get involved in the No. 1 contender battle
The Undisputed WWE Championship picture takes center stage when Kevin Owens, Gunther and Finn Balor battle for a potential title opportunity. Owens initially addresses how he was “screwed over” by Sami Zayn while challenging CM Punk.
Punk confronts Owens before Gunther and Balor make their own claims. During the main event, CM Punk and Sami Zayn become involved around ringside, further escalating an already heated situation.
