Top five WWE Superstars who could retire in 2024

WWE has been a place of some of the big box office shows, extremely talented stars and great creative minds. The roster is filled with some of the highly experienced veterans and talented upcoming stars.

The company has been a destination for building some of the bigger stars, who are spoken beyond their prime. Although the veterans’ businesses are the key to success, there is a point where they would be taking a break. So here we take a look at the top five WWE superstars who could possibly retire in 2024 

5. AJ Styles

AJ Styles is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, who has been a top star, wherever he steps foot in. The 46-year-old has been in the pro-wrestling industry for almost 24 years and has been part of some of the greatest matches. In recent years, he has been teasing his retirement in WWE and openly spoke about his retirement plans of spending it with his family.

However, he also said that he would be retiring after winning the world championship for one more time. Based on his recent comments it seems like Styles is so close to retirement, which could be this year.

4. Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio has been teasing retirement for so long and publicly spoke about his retirement plans and timeline. He said that he will retire by the age of 50, whereas Rey is currently 49. Despite Rey teasing his retirement, he recently signed a new deal with the company.

Based on his tease and activities, it seems like The Legendary Luchador will be retiring from the in-ring action by the end of this year, however will continue to work on a mentor kind of role.

3. Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar has been a part timer since his return in 2012 and has been exclusive only to top tier matches. The Beast Incarnate however is one of the bigger stars in the company, who is consistent in providing big matches. Lesnar in an interview on the Michael Kay show in 2021 said that he was going to retire in 2020, but however got back to the company.

As Lesnar was allegedly also involved in Vince McMahon’s allegations, his return is being a question mark. Considering all the things going on, Lesnar would most probably retire from his in-ring career this year.

2. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is at the peak of his career with his Universal Championship reign & The Bloodline storyline for over three years. The Tribal Chief despite being a great champion, but he has been criticized for his part time role.

Previously during an interview on the Michael Kay show, Roman Reigns also spoke about his desire to switch from WWE to Hollywood. He also said that wrestling is a young man’s game and can’t fall down the entire life, potentially teasing about leaving WWE. Based on his desires and rumours, Roman could possibly retire this year if he wishes to pursue his acting career.

1. John Cena

John Cena has been teasing his retirement for so long both on and off-screen. The GOAT although being a full-time actor, he occasionally shows up on WWE. Last year he had a pretty long run in recent times, however was only teasing about his retirement.

Cena claims that his time left with WWE is not so long multiple times & also said that he doesn’t think that he could give his 100% at this age. As Cena has been this for a long time, Cena could most probably be retiring by this year.
