Theory believes WWE is enjoying the best time of all time
According to WWE Tag Team Champion Austin Theory, the present age of WWE is outperforming the highly regarded Attitude era. WWE officially began its ‘new era’ during WrestleMania 40, however, this occurred months after Vince McMahon’s second exit from the organization in January 2024. With the 78-year-old millionaire gone, audiences have embraced production changes as well as the narratives we see on television.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Austin Theory praised the present time, which he feels has eclipsed the Attitude era.
“We do all these things, and every show is packed. Even when I’m just doing meet-and-greets, like in Australia, I did one where 300 people came to see me in the middle of a mall. WWE is at an all-time high now, and you can’t deny it. I think we’ve surpassed the Attitude Era. This era has solidified a new world of professional wrestling.”
Austin Theory has high praises for Paul Levesque
Theory went on to call Triple H “The Man” and praised the “innovative” ideas of WWE’s Chief Content Officer. The former U.S. Champion also lauded everyone in WWE today for their dedication and feels that with Triple H “in the pilot seat,” WWE can’t be stopped.
It is difficult to overlook WWE’s present success. According to reports from November 2023, the average attendance at WWE events has matched that of the Attitude Era. WWE is clearly generating a lot more money now than it was in the late 1990s and early 2000s, owing in part to lucrative TV deals and its partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As WWE continues to adapt and innovate, it is apparent that the new era is establishing new standards and hitting milestones that will cement its position in professional wrestling history. Currently, WWE is going overseas for the WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE.
