Former WWE star Alberto Del Rio, aka Alberto El Patron (José Alberto Rodríguez Chucuan), was arrested last week in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, over alleged domestic violence.
A new report has now revealed that he has been released from custody in San Luis Potosí after agreeing to a financial settlement with his wife in the domestic violence case.

According to a report from El Mañana SLP, the hearing was held on April 11 at the Comprehensive Criminal Justice Center of La Pila under criminal case 1644/2026. The report also notes that the hearing lasted over three hours.
During the session, the judge found there was sufficient evidence to formally charge Del Rio. However, the defense pursued an alternative resolution, which was approved following a recess.
As part of the agreement, a sum of 1,130,000 pesos (over $65,000 USD) was paid by Del Rio as reparation for the damage. Additionally, the victim granted legal forgiveness, allowing the conditional suspension to move forward.
Judge Paulo César Ramiro Zúñiga ordered the immediate release of the former WWE World Champion in this criminal case, provided that certain measures are followed over six months, in line with Article 195 of the National Code of Criminal Procedure. Furthermore, a compliance review has been scheduled for October 29, 2026, and the case will remain under judicial monitoring.
Additionally, Milenio also reported that apart from the monetary settlement, Del Rio has to commit to attending rehabilitation therapy for aggressors and having no contact with the victim.
