The February 24 episode of WWE NXT saw multiple title changes.
Live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, the February 24 edition of NXT featured a stacked card with multiple title matches. Multiple matches and segments changed the course of many feuds, with new Champions emerging from the ashes.
The show also included a historic highlight during the WWE Speed Championship bout. Jasper Troy defended his Speed Title in a high-stakes Triple Threat Match against Elio LeFleur and Eli Knight, competing under a special seven-minute time limit that added even more intensity to the contest.
LeFleur secured the victory by capitalizing on Eli Knight’s perfectly executed moonsault, stealing the pinfall and dethroning the reigning champion, Jasper Troy, in dramatic fashion.
Elio LeFleur became the second France-born wrestler to win gold in WWE
With the victory, Elio LeFleur carved out a place in the record books as only the second France-born competitor to capture championship gold in WWE history. The trail was first blazed by the iconic André the Giant, who first captured gold in the promotion in 1988. He is a one-time WWF World Heavyweight and World Tag Team Champion.
Now, nearly four decades later, Elio LeFleur has brought championship gold back to a France-born Superstar in WWE, cementing his victory as a landmark moment in the company’s history. The achievement also underscores WWE’s confidence in the rising star, who only recently signed with the promotion.
Elio LeFleur signed with WWE in 2025
Born in Paris, France, Cyril Coquerelle signed with WWE in 2025 and made his NXT debut in January 2026 under the ring name Elio LeFleur, before making appearances in AAA in 2025.
Before arriving in the Stamford-based promotion, he built a strong reputation across Europe, most notably competing under the masked persona Aigle Blanc (White Eagle) on the independent circuit.
During his time with Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), he also captured the wXw World Tag Team Championship, further cementing his credentials as one of Europe’s standout talents.
In a remarkably short time, Elio has captured the attention of fans, and the sky is the limit for the young French luchador. He is poised to break more records and secure his place in wrestling history, proudly representing his homeland of France.
