Top four German superstars on current WWE roster

The current roster of WWE has some top and upcoming names from the land of Germany.
WWE has been the home of some of the most talented and remarkable in-ring performers in the world. The current roster of the global juggernaut these days comprises individuals from various heritages and origins. Among them, some top and upcoming names on the WWE roster come from the land of Germany.
Representing their German background as part of the biggest wrestling company in the world, here is a look at those four WWE superstars from or having some heritage in Germany:
4. Nikki Cross
Nikki Cross, although comes from Scotland, has some German ancestry to her lineage. In the years that she spent in Stamford-based company, Cross has parted from mid-card to top-level programs and donned multiple gimmicks. Moreover, she has also won multiple Women’s championships during her tenure and is currently a part of Uncle Howdy’s demonic faction, The Wyatt Sicks, donning the character of Aby the Witch.
3. Ilja Dragunov
Ilja Dragunov gained prominence for his hard-hitting style and captivating strength in a Stamford-based company. Although he was born in Russia, Dragunov grew up in the native land of Germany. He went on to have a successful tenure in NXT UK and later on in NXT, battling top stars like Bron Breakker, Gunther and Trick Williams in the process of becoming the NXT Champion in the Black and Gold brand. Following his tenure in the developmental, The Mad Dragon moved to Monday Night RAW in 2024, ready to unleash his fury on the bigger stages, already having competed for the WWE Intercontinental championships.
2. Ludwig Kaiser
Ludwig Kaisar became a significant fixture as part of the NXT UK roster. He was aligned with Giovanni Vinci and Gunther as part of the Imperium who made strides in the developmental territories and later on, SmackDown and RAW. Kaisar has recently begun his singles run on RAW, while still having his alliance with Gunther, which could take him to greater heights as a Germany-based WWE star.
1. Gunther
The Ring General, Gunther is undoubtedly the most successful WWE superstar on the current roster from Germany. From his record-setting reign as NXT UK Champion to becoming the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion in history, Gunther‘s accolades are highly unprecedented. Moreover, he recently began his transition to the main event scene by winning his first World Heavyweight Championship from Damian Priest at WWE SummerSlam 2024.
