These breathtaking moments live rent-free in WWE fans’ heads.

Over the years, WWE WrestleMania has delivered some of the most electrifying moments that sent shockwaves across the audience in the arena. The ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’ has always kept the fans on their toes for mind-boggling action and high-end drama from their favorite superstars.

Let’s take a deep dive into the best moments the fans have ever witnessed throughout the history of this Premium Live Event, ahead of this weekend’s WWE WrestleMania XL on Sony Sports Network.

5. Heist of the Century

Legendary commentator Michael Cole described the moment as the ‘Heist of the Century’ when Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins ran back towards the ramp WITH THE WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP IN HIS HANDS. WrestleMania 31 is etched in wrestling history for this very moment when Seth Rollins ran towards the ringside to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. After Roman Reigns speared Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins capitalized by curb-stomping ‘The Big Dog’ Roman Reigns and won the title. Everyone witnessing this was left in shock as it was the first time the ‘Money in the Bank’ contract was cashed in at WrestleMania.

4. I am sorry, I love you

The final words by Shawn Michaels out of respect and admiration for Ric Flair before hitting him with ‘sweet chin music’. At WrestleMania 24, Ric Flair went all guns blazing against ‘Mr. WrestleMania’ Shawn Michaels in what was the former’s ‘win or retire’ match. In the final moments, a crying Ric Flair signaled Shawn Michaels to give the final blow. An emotional Michaels pinned ‘Ric Flair’ and after the 3-count immediately hugged his beloved friend on his epic career as an in-ring wrestler.

3. The Streak continues 20-0

The Deadman’ The Undertaker and ‘Cerebral Assassin’ Triple H gave the WWE UNIVERSE one of the best Hell in a Cell Match at WrestleMania 28 with Shawn Michaels as the guest referee for this match. At one point, a loud pop from the fans echoed at the venue when Shawn Michaels in a surprising twist delivered ‘sweet chin music’ connecting perfectly to the jaw of the Undertaker and Triple H quickly delivering the pedigree. Regardless, the Undertaker kicked out before 3-count stunning both Shawn Michaels and Triple H. In the end, The Undertaker had the last laugh delivering a tomb-stone pile driver to Triple H, hence stretching his streak to 20-0.

2. The Heartbreak for Shawn Michaels

The Silver Jubilee of WrestleMania had everything lined up. With fans expectations soaring to new heights, the match between ‘The Heartbreak kid’ Shawn Michaels and ‘The Phenom’ The Undertaker was announced. With both superstars delivering signature movies and finishers on each other, none were willing to give up. In the final moments of this mega-duel, Shawn Michaels went on the top-rope to deliver a high-flying moonsault but the Undertaker caught him mid-air and delivered tomb-stone pile and won the match.

1. RKO out of nowhere

The Viper’ Randy Orton has been known to deliver the most jaw-dropping RKOs, be it an RKO from the ladder or delivering an RKO to his opposition mid-air, but the greatest of RKO came at the ‘Grandest Stage of them all’ at WrestleMania 31. In the build-up match at WrestleMania 31, Seth Rollins looked destined to get the better of the ‘Apex Predator’ Randy Orton. A blow to the mid-section of Randy Orton gave Rollins a lay-up for a perfect curb stomp. In the most dramatic turn of events, while delivering the curb stomp, Orton pushed Rollins in the air and delivered an RKO and momentarily stunning the entire arena.
