Gunther is looking to capture the Undisputed title.
‘The Ring General’ Gunther, with his attack on Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, made his intentions clear after WrestleMania. He is now set to take on Rhodes with the title on the line at the upcoming Clash in Italy, which is set for May 31 at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Piedmont Region, Italy.
The Ring General is determined to dethrone Rhodes and become the face of Friday Night SmackDown and of WWE effectively. However, despite the challenge ahead, he is not shying away from a future showdown against someone he was rumored to fight.
Gunther is focused on the task ahead

Ahead of the title showdown, the Ring General sat down with the Italian Wrestling Channel, where he was asked about a potential showdown with Brock Lesnar, now that he has returned from retirement.
Responding to the question, Gunther stated that while he has not thought about it and is currently focused on the clash with Cody, once he captures the Undisputed title, Lesnar can challenge him.
“I don’t know. I wasn’t even there on that day on ‘Mania, because it was the day after me, when a lot of it happened with Brock. So, I only saw it like a headline and that’s literally all the info I had. Obviously, he’s back now, but I haven’t thought about it.
I’m really focused on what I’m doing with Cody now. I will be challenging for the WWE Undisputed Championship in Italy, and that’s my full focus right now. After I beat Cody then Brock can challenge me, and we’ll do that.”

Brock Lesnar returned from retirement last week

After originally retiring at WrestleMania 42, following his loss to Oba Femi, Brock Lesnar returned last week on Raw, attacking Femi. Paul Heyman then informed General Manager Adam Pearce that Lesnar has challenged Femi to a rematch at Clash in Italy.
Before Lesnar retired, there were rumors of a potential clash between him and Gunther at SummerSlam. The bout was anticipated to be a retirement match for Lesnar as the PLE will be hosted in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a city where Lesnar is billed from.
The rumors and speculations died down after the retirement at WWE WrestleMania, but Lesnar’s return seems to have once again increased interest among fans.
