The Hardy Boyz made their WWE return on the 02/25 episode of NXT
The Hardy Boyz (Jeff & Matt Hardy) made their return after six years and defeated No Quarter Catch Crew in their return to the WWE ring during the February 25 episode of WWE NXT which aired live from Andrew J. Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Following their win, during a backstage segment the two stars reacted to their return and NXT debut stating that they were back ‘home’. “WWE will always be our birthplace, our home,” said Matt Hardy. The TNA stars also commented on their scheduled clash against NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) at NXT Roadblock 2025.
When asked about the NXT Tag Champions, Matt lauded Fraxiom stating that they have been on their radar for a while, and cut a promo for the clash declaring that the Hardy Boyz are in fact the greatest tag team in the world.
Carmella reacts to her WWE release
Reports from Fightful and PW Nexus last week confirmed that Carmella’s contract recently expired, and she is no longer with WWE. This follows a lengthy absence from WWE programming, with Carmella’s last appearance in March 2023.
The former Women’s World Champion recently reacted to her release via her Instagram story, in a video she posted, Carmella explained that she hadn’t shared anything sooner due to being sick but expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans since news of her departure spread.
Carmella then stated that she has more to tell the fans and will do so in an upcoming podcast appearance and promised to share her side of the story and provide more details soon.
“Some news broke last week and I just wanted to let you know that I’ve seen all of your texts and tweets and messages and DMs, and — like, oh my God, you guys are just the best, and I’m so grateful for you and everything that you’ve been saying about Carmella and my career, and I’m so blessed. So thank you.
“I know there’s a lot of questions and uncertainty around everything. I will be going on a podcast later this week answering some of those questions and telling my side, because I have a lot to say about the situation. So I’ll give you the details later when I can, and I can’t wait to fill you guys in.” Carmella said.
WWE 2K25 developer Bryan Williams reacts to AEW: Fight Forever
In a recent interview with Jesse of The Pro Wrestling Shoot, WWE 2K25 developer Bryan Williams revealed his desire to include thumbtacks in modern WWE games and shared his thoughts on AEW: Fight Forever beating WWE 2K to the punch by adding them first.
“The thumbtacks, we’ve been talking about that for a while now, and I think once we crack that nut, that’s the perfect opportunity to then go into, as you, as you pointed out, getting scarring, bleeding on the back, the chest, the arms, even. I think introducing that as a new weapon. Obviously, just like peanut butter and jelly, it coincides with bleeding on the bodies, as opposed to just the face.
So, it is something that we are hoping to eventually get to sooner rather than later. So, yeah, I would just say, we hear you, and it’s something that we want to do as well, especially just having thumbtacks in the AEW game. I know I worked on it, but it, you know, it sticks in my craw that the AEW game has one over on us when it comes to the thumbtacks. I don’t like that. We’re going to make it right.” William said.
