Jey Uso is in his first reign as WWE World Champion
“Main Event” Jey Uso’s rise from tag team specialist to World Champion has been one of WWE’s most emotional and hard-fought journeys.
A former eight-time tag champion and the twin son of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, Jey carved his name into the history books at WrestleMania 41 when he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, solidifying himself as a true singles main event player.
Since capturing the title, Uso has wasted no time proving he belongs at the top of the mountain. Walking through the crowd with his signature swagger and the crowd chanting “YEET” at full volume, Jey’s championship reign has been defined by passion, resilience, and a deep connection with the WWE Universe.
His first major title defense came against former ally and fellow main eventer Seth “Freakin” Rollins on an episode of WWE Raw. The two had shared the WarGames battlefield and mutual respect, but that didn’t stop them from tearing the house down in a hard-hitting match that saw the match ending in DQ, helping Rollins get the win, but ultimately title did not change hands.
On Saturday Night’s Main Event, he faced social media megastar and frequent thorn in his side, Logan Paul. The match was fast-paced and filled with drama, including interference from John Cena, but Jey overcame the chaos with the help of Cody Rhodes, landing a top-rope splash for the win.
Jey’s reign is still young, but already he’s faced some of WWE’s top names and proven himself time and again. With the WWE Universe firmly behind him and momentum on his side, “Main Event” Jey Uso is just getting started as world champion. YEET!
