Bron Breakker was hoping to win the men’s Royal Rumble match last week.
Since the attack on Bron Breakker during the men’s Royal Rumble, fan theories regarding the identity of the attacker have been a hot topic of debate among fans online. Breakker himself has been irate with the situation, looking to exact some payback.
However, no one, not the Wiseman, Paul Heyman, not even the Raw General Manager, Adam Pearce, has any clue who was behind the mask that took out Bron. The attack not only cost Breakker the hopes of winning the Rumble match and challenging for the World title at WrestleMania.
Backed by Paul Heyman and his faction, The Vision, Bron was looking to punch his ticket to the ‘Grandest Stage.’ The attack helped entrant number 1, Oba Femi, who eliminated Bron in a record the Badass wouldn’t be proud of, surviving only ten seconds and earning a spot among the quickest Royal Rumble eliminations.
Who attacked Bron Breakker?
So who was really behind the mask? Was it Seth Rollins delivering the curb stomp? Was it Austin Theory striking again? Or was it someone entirely different?
Logan Paul has already denied any involvement, and Rollins has made it clear that he never traveled to Saudi Arabia, leaving the mystery centered on someone else.
Rollins also stated during an appearance on ESPN’S Unsportsmanlike podcast, that his shoulder is not fine and he cannot lift someone above his head. Rollins also then added that he doesn’t need his shoulder for his finish move, sparking speculation among fans.
Amid all the confusion, we finally have some clues, all thanks to a recent report from High Spot Podcast.
According to the report, Grayson Waller was the person behind the mask. Waller had been pulled from NXT live event duties in the U.S. so he could be in Riyadh, though he ultimately never appeared on the PLE itself.
Grayson Waller was a stand-in for Seth Rollins

The report notes that WWE needed someone whose size and look closely matched Seth Rollins for the angle. When a fan questioned whether the story had shifted to center around Waller, High Spots Podcast clarified that this was not the case.
They noted that Waller was only used as a temporary stand-in, with the plan still to unveil Seth Rollins as the true masked attacker.
Additionally, Cory Hays of Bodyslam reports that the promotion expects Rollins to return before Wrestlemania 42 which is why they ran the angle at the Rumble.
It remains to be seen how the storyline unfolds, especially as tensions reach a boiling point and what strings Paul Heyman pulls to get The Vision out of these problematic times.
