The former Women’s US Champion is out of action due to injury.
Former WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green has been out of in-ring action since last month due to an injury.
Green sustained a broken ankle (a chipped and cracked inner bone) during the February 6, 2026, episode of SmackDown in a triple threat match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend for the women’s Elimination Chamber qualifiers.
Despite her injury, the former WWE Women’s US Champion has continued to make regular appearances, sometimes wearing a walking boot or using a wheelchair. She has also been involved in physical segments backstage and at ringside.
Chelsea Green was able to jog for the first time since the injury

During her recovery, Chelsea Green recently took to her Instagram handle to provide an update on her injury. Green posted a selfie on her IG stories, revealing that she was able to jog for the first time since breaking her ankle.
This is a very positive update for fans, as if Green is able to get medically cleared in time, the fan-favorite star will be able to partake in the upcoming 42nd edition of WrestleMania.
Green has been feuding with Tiffany Stratton on SmackDown, despite the injury. Stratton, on the other hand, is aiming to capture the Women’s U.S title currently held by Giulia.
Fans might expect a triple threat for the US title at the ‘Grandest Stage’ in Las Vegas. The title has been popularized by Green, and her inclusion in the reported match would only add to the hype.
If the match materializes, it will be the first time the Women’s US title has been defended at a Premium Live Event (PLE) since its inception in December 2024.
