Alberto Del Rio was one of the top superstars in WWE during the 2010s.

Alberto Del Rio was known to be one of the most talented and exceptional Mexican stars in the history of the business. Alberto made a huge name for himself in Mexico which led to his signing with WWE back in the early 2010s.

Billed as ‘Mexico’s Greatest Export’, Alberto was featured in high-profile matches and feuds and won multiple championships and accolades in the process, including becoming a multi-time WWE Champion.

Despite his first run ending when he made a racist joke against a person, Del Rio came back to WWE in 2015 for his second stint, and on his very first night back, he defeated the GOAT, John Cena, to capture the WWE United States Champion.

The former World Heavyweight Champion was amidst his rise in the global juggernaut once again, only to have his tenure cut short when WWE released him.

Del Rio also cited creative frustrations with the company and left the global juggernaut once again in only a year of returning to the promotion. Moreover, Del Rio even faced legal problems, multiple arrests and issues with his former colleagues including one with his former love interest, Saraya.

Is Alberto Del Rio making his return to WWE again?

Despite his tumultuous tenure in WWE, alongside major problems in his personal life, Alberto Del Rio continued to wrestle for multiple promotions.

Some time back, he even made the case on Twitter to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, citing his accomplishments as a wrestler, hinting at his interest in making a return to the company.

Del Rio did mention in an interview with WrestlingNews.co that there had been talks about a potential return, but it did not go anywhere.

However, according to a report by Fightful Select, a higher-up WWE executive said there is “no f–king way” that he would be making his return to the company.

This was never the case, even when Vince McMahon was in charge and seemingly would not change now that Triple H has assumed the leadership.

Considering all the reports and speculations, there is a strong chance that Del Rio might not be brought to the company shortly.
