‘The Queen’ has been out of action since last year due to injury
14-time WWE Champion Charlotte Flair has teased her return in a recent post ahead of the 11/22 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
‘The Queen’ Charlotte Flair has been out of action for the past eight months. The last time she was seen inside the ring was in December 2023, when she was competing against Asuka and tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus during the match.
Charlotte is regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers ever, boasting record-breaking achievements and numerous championship reigns. She is also one of the biggest names in the women’s division.
Signed by WWE in 2012, Flair has built a decade-long legacy with the company. A 14-time Women’s World Champion, Flair is the first and only woman to reach this remarkable milestone. It looks like the second-generation star is making her in-ring return after a year-long hiatus.

Charlotte Flair teased her comeback with a new video on X
Flair recently shared a video on her social media handle teasing her return ahead of the 11/22 SmackDown show. WWE fans have been waiting for months for The Queen to make her return back to the squared ring.
In the clip, a diamond-shaped ice shard cracked through a block of ice, revealing her image, with her name “Charlotte” visible inside the diamond. Flair, who has accumulated 17 championships in total including the Women’s World Championship, Women’s Championship, NXT Women’s Championship, and the Women’s Tag Team Championship (w/ Asuka), hinted at her comeback.
In the caption of the ten-second-long post, The Queen wrote nothing besides three diamond emoticons. The timing of the post ahead of the show of the Blue brand in Salt Lake City has raised questions that Flair might make her return tonight on the Blue brand.
Flair is signed to the SmackDown brand of the Stamford-based promotion which has further fueled speculations of her comeback. However, there is no clarity on her return timeline or her next opponent.
If The Queen makes her comeback it would not only make the show more interesting for fans but it will also make the women’s title picture more interesting. Given the star power of Flair, there might be a possibility that she will be involved in huge storylines upon her comeback.
