After what the ‘Best in the World’ CM Punk did at WrestleMania 40 by breaking the dreams of the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre, people are trying to guess what is next for him.

While he is injured currently due to his torn tricep, which happened at the Royal Rumble 2024. Last Monday Night Raw saw him costing Drew McIntyre his shot at the World Title which is currently held by Damian Priest.

As he was able to perform certain moves while knocking out Drew McIntyre, one should start thinking about his return, which is very near to the current date. CM Punk was rumored to fight Seth “Freakin” Rollins at WrestleMania but it was Drew who was replaced and took multiple shots at him, both on the Mic and on social media.

Who will be CM Punk’s next opponent?

Punk is expected to make his in-ring return very soon and is expected to take on Drew McIntyre as his next opponent. While they are exchanging several blows on social media, the WWE Universe hasn’t seen them exchanging any blows physically until now.

There is a possibility that he might win against the Scottish Warrior and go for a fight against Damian Priest for his World Title, that he has recently won by cashing in his Money in the Bank Contract. Furthermore, he can also go against Cody Rhodes since he was the one who defeated him in the Royal Rumble and ruined his WrestleMania moment.

CM Punk in the Raw edition of 8th April 2024 promised the crowd of Philadelphia that he will be performing live in front of them whenever he makes his return, which means he can return very soon to make his in-ring return.

What can happen in the Draft?

It will be very important to note that WWE Draft takes place this month and wherever he goes, whether it is Monday Night Raw or Friday Night Smackdown, he will fight someone who belongs to the Main Event.

Any anticipation that is made regarding CM Punk might be proven as wrong as nobody knows when he can make his return but it is for sure that he will go for the Championships and finally it could be the American Nightmare who fights him on next year’s WrestleMania.
