Liv Morgan defended the World title in Birmingham.
WWE is in Europe ahead of Night of Champions 2026 to deliver live events and weekly shows leading up to the PLE in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. One such live event recently took place at the Utilita Arena Birmingham in Birmingham, England, on June 21.
The event featured eight total matches with two title matches, where the Women’s World title and the Intercontinental title were on the line. Speaking of the Women’s World title, Liv Morgan defended it in a fatal four-way match against Iyo Sky, Sol Ruca, and Lyra Valkyria.
The match sparked injury concerns for Liv after a major sequence involving Ruca. So, what’s the update on Liv Morgan’s injury? Will WWE once again have to adjust creative due to another Champion’s absence?
Is Liv Morgan injured?

The spot that led to the injury scare happened when Ruca came in to deliver a springboard, but Morgan was out of position as Ruca landed with all her weight on Morgan’s right leg. Ruca went for the pin as Valkyria broke the pin, and Liv can be spotted grabbing her knees and rolling out of the ring.
However, before Liv exited the ring, she likely had signalled referee Jessika Carr that she was fine, as if Liv would’ve sustained an injury, Carr would have likely thrown up the ‘X’ sign, but instead she raised up a single fist.
Unlike holding the ‘X’ sing means that the wrestler has sustained an injury, the one fist tells backstage producers, medical staff, and cameras that the wrestler is safe and the match can proceed as planned.
Another positive sign that signaled Morgan is likely fine was that she was able to finish the match and retain the title. After the match, Liv celebrated the win with her Judgment Day stablemates, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, and can be seen in the videos posted by fans that she is able to put weight on the right knee and walk properly.
Does this clearly mean that Liv has not sustained an injury? At this point, we can’t say that for sure. There have been no reports or credible murmurs suggesting that Liv has suffered an injury, and fan-recorded videos show that she was able to finish the match and appeared to be fine afterward.
Liv is also scheduled to appear on tonight’s Monday Night Raw, which further suggests that she is likely in good condition as she gears up to battle Iyo Sky in the finals of the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament. Morgan also thanked the Birmingham fans and confirmed her appearance on Raw.
“You’re welcome Birmingham for blessing you with my presence tonight🤭🙏 Currently running to London because I am the f*cking GOAT 🖕”
