Randy Orton is not seen since King and Queen of the Ring PLE

Randy Orton is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He has been in WWE since 2002 and has been one of the longest-tenured WWE stars in the company. The Viper is a 20-time champion in the company including 14 World Championship reigns. Orton is a guaranteed future Hall of Famer and is still actively wrestling in the company, who rarely takes his time off from his schedule.

Orton had an unfortunate break from WWE due to his back injury and was on a long hiatus. Orton then made a great comeback in November 2023 at the Survivor Series PLE to join forces with Team Cody Rhodes and defeated Team Judgment Day. Since then Orton has been working regularly on the weekly shows and PLE’s but teases of having pain in the back and knee occasionally during the matches.

Orton recently competed in the King of the Ring tournament with a taped knee and was limping throughout the tournament. Orton failed to become the King of the Ring, after a controversial loss against Gunther in the finals. Following the event, Orton has not been seen on WWE TV since then. Since most of them are wondering if Orton could return to this week’s SmackDown, here is the answer to your question,

Things Randy Orton could do on SmackDown

WWE CCO Triple H after the controversial finish teased a rematch between Randy Orton and Gunther in future events. This seems like Orton could likely challenge Gunther for a singles match at Clash at the Castle.

Orton can handle the ongoing rivalry with The Bloodline teaming up with Kevin Owens. Orton stated that he is not done with The Bloodline & Owens is still building the story with Bloodline.

Orton could confront Nick Aldis claiming the finish for the King of the Ring Finals was not clean and could convince Aldis to offer him a Undisputed WWE Championship title shot at SummerSlam 2024.

Although nothing is official yet, we need to wait and watch what Orton will be doing on SmackDown this week.
