Is WWE Crown Jewel 2026 airing on tape delay?

WWE PLE was running on a delay during its telecast.

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 was the latest Premium Live Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event was uncertain for weeks amid the Houthis attacks on Saudi Arabian airports for weeks. Despite that, WWE still chose to move ahead with their plan and ultimately came to Riyadh for the show.

However, top TKO officials said that they had monitored the situation for weeks and it was safe to hold the event.

At the same time, WWE took only a limited crew for the event, while other production was controlled from their headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. This led fans to observe a major change in the telecast as the event was happening.

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 telecast is running on a delay

According to various fan videos that surfaced online, the WWE Crown Jewel 2026 telecast was running behind the action happening at The Venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For example, when the telecast showed Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton making their entrances for the Last Man Standing match, the two fierce rivals were already exchanging blows at ringside.

False Finish highlighted that WWE was indeed operating the event with a limited crew. Therefore, the telecast delay allowed them to run everything smoothly from a production standpoint.

Regardless of the telecast, the WWE Crown Jewel event started out with a banger as Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton tore down the house.

The former Legacy members produced a hellacious showdown that concluded with The American Nightmare busting open Orton and putting the final nail in the coffin by hitting a punt kick. With that, The Viper was unable to answer the count of ten, and Rhodes won the Last Man Standing match.

Following that, Je’Von Evans and Penta squared off against Austin Theory and Oba Femi for the WWE World Tag Team Championships. Bronson Reed ran interference and attacked the challengers.

However, he met his match with the return of Oba Femi, who dropped Reed with a slam from the entrance ramp. This resulted in Evans and Penta taking advantage and outlasting Theory and Breakker to become the new WWE World Tag Team Champions.
