Fans might witness two WrestleManias soon!
WWE’s biggest show, WrestleMania, might be going across the ocean to the Middle East soon. A new report suggests that there are talks of holding the grandest stage in Saudi Arabia.
This comes amid significant outcry from international fans, particularly in the United Kingdom, calling for the premium live event to be brought to their country.
Saudi Arabia could host WrestleMania in 2027
Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reported that there are discussions about potentially hosting WrestleMania in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to the report, officials in Saudi Arabia reportedly expect the major event to take place there in 2027.
The report further adds that there is also a strong push for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to headline the event. The concept of holding two WrestleManias in a single year has also been considered as a way to make this possible without relocating the traditional North American edition.
The potential of Saudi Arabia hosting WrestleMania would mark the most significant development in WWE’s long-standing partnership with the Kingdom. Since 2018, the promotion has staged several major PLEs there annually, including Crown Jewel and Night of Champions.
WWE is set to host the 2026 edition of the Royal Rumble in the Kingdom. The 39th edition of the event will take place in January 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of Riyadh Season.
WWE WrestleMania 42 is set for Las Vegas
The 42nd edition of WrestleMania will emanate live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will take place over two nights, April 18 (Saturday) and April 19 (Sunday), 2026.
The 42nd edition of the grandest stage was earlier set to take place in the iconic Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 11 and 12, 2026. However, the plans were scrapped despite the promotion announcing the same.
The announcement was made by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson during his return on the 02/21 episode of SmackDown.
Allegiant Stadium hosted the 2025 edition of the PLE and is set to host Mania the second year in a row in 2026. According to WrestleVotes, TKO is hopeful that they will be able to replicate the entire weekend, including the same venues as WrestleMania 41.
