Is WWE SmackDown tonight live or pre-taped (November 6, 2026)?

WWE SmackDown was taped in New York ahead of tonight’s broadcast

Yes, WWE SmackDown for November 6, 2026, was pre-taped earlier this week at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The episode was recorded on November 2, immediately after a mega edition of Monday Night Raw, meaning tonight’s broadcast will not be live.

The company made the scheduling adjustment to give its Superstars, production personnel, and crew additional time to travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for Crown Jewel 2026, which takes place on November 7. The November 6 episode will serve as the go-home show for the PLE, featuring final developments in the rivalries involving the event’s participants.

The taping also means that spoilers and results from the episode are already available ahead of its television broadcast.

WWE SmackDown spoilers and results from November 2

One of the biggest attractions was the No Holds Barred clash between CM Punk and Kevin Owens, while several other segments advanced the ongoing storylines ahead of Crown Jewel. The two former champions headlined the show in a brutal contest that saw the action spill beyond the ring.

Both competitors used weapons and fought around the arena, with Punk putting Owens through the announce table. Kevin Owens eventually used a steel chain to knock out Punk and secure the victory.

Shinsuke Nakamura faced Tama Tonga, with Talla Tonga getting involved during the contest. Kyoki neutralised Talla, allowing Nakamura to focus on his opponent and deliver the Kinshasa for the win.

Damian Priest vs Nathan Frazer was another non-title match on the night where Nathan Frazer attempted to take the fight to Damian Priest before the match could properly get underway. Priest responded by powerbombing Frazer onto the announce table, after which Frazer was deemed medically unable to continue. Axiom subsequently confronted Priest but was also taken out.

Women’s tag team Champions Michin and B-Fab defended their titles against Fatal Influence members Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid. The contest ended without a decisive result after Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley interfered. Bayley and Charlotte Flair also became involved, with Flair returning and confronting Jade Cargill.

More segments featured on the taped episode

The show also featured several important developments involving Crown Jewel participants and other WWE Superstars. Following the revival of the Demon on SmackDown last week, Gunther addressed his rivalry with Finn Balor, claiming that the latter was past his prime. Balor interrupted, and the two eventually brawled, with Balor getting the upper hand.

Trick Williams reflected on his recent Undisputed Championship defeat to Sami Zayn and insisted that becoming a world champion was only a matter of time.

Then there was a faceoff between Chelsea Green and Liv Morgan. WWE Women’s Champion spoke about wanting to establish a lasting legacy by defeating Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel. Morgan interrupted and mocked Green, questioning whether she deserved her championship opportunity.

Sami Zayn addressed his upcoming Crown Jewel match against Roman Reigns. Jimmy Uso interrupted, and the two discussed their strained relationship. The 946 then attacked Uso while Zayn chose not to intervene. These segments helped advance multiple storylines before WWE heads to Riyadh for the November 7 PLE.
