Umaga’s son Zilla Fatu is wrestling for the independent circuit.
Zilla Fatu, the son of late Umaga made his professional wrestling debut last year and has been making a great impact in the independent circuits. Zilla in his previous interviews showed his intentions to join WWE in the future and has been actively reacting to The Bloodline storylines.
In his Indi-run, he has teamed up with his cousin Jacob Fatu in GCW and showcased some of the best matches for the promotion. Following Jacob Fatu’s WWE debut, Zilla Fatu’s recent story on Instagram has kicked off the rumor of him joining WWE soon.
Zilla Fatu to make his WWE debut?
Zilla Fatu has been active in social media, where in his recent Instagram story wrote, “See you soon”. Following that Zilla wrote, “In a little over 24 hours, we set the world on fire”. These writings from Zilla kick-started a rumor that he could make his WWE debut at SmackDown, as SmackDown is just hours away.
As rumors started spreading, Fatu revealed that it is for his match this Friday (June 28, 2024), at GCW No Sleep, where he will be wrestling John Wayne Murdoch in a Houston Street Fight in his hometown Houston, Texas, United States.
While Zilla Fatu will be fighting for GCW in his hometown, The Bloodline will have the Bloodline Acknowledgement Ceremony this Friday in Madison Square Garden in New York.
As most wonder, if they could see Zilla Fatu in WWE in the upcoming weeks, the answer could be no, as Fatu is stacked up with his schedule. He is said to make his HOG debut next month on July 26, 2024 at HOG High Intensity in New York.
Zilla Fatu’s on WWE or AEW?
In a previous interview with Joey Franchise on WiLD 94.1 discussed where he would head into in future, with AEW & WWE as a choice. Fatu said that his family has a long history with WWE and doesn’t want to break the cycle, by being the first Anoa’i to join AEW. However his AEW debut could also make sense, as all their family member’s journeys are different. He says that he is on the other side of the table than other family members in WWE.
