Jey Uso is one of the major singles stars on the active WWE roster
Jey Uso is one of the biggest babyfaces and the most celebrated wrestlers among fans on the active WWE roster. The former Right Handman of Roman Reigns split his path with The Bloodline and turned face in mid-2023. Ever since he left The Bloodline, Jey started working as a singles wrestler and gained huge attention from the WWE Universe.
Jey created his own identity and feuds with the biggest singles stars in the company, however, he is yet to win his first singles championship. At this stage, Usos’ father Rikishi hints that Jey Uso could leave WWE for AEW due to lack of push.
Rikishi’s frustration with WWE’s creative push for Jey Uso
WWE Hall of Famer & Jey Uso’s father, Rikishi on the latest edition of Rikishi Fatu off the Top podcast took a shot at WWE’s lack of push for Jey Uso. Rikishi said that Jey Uso is the most exciting guy in the company, who does his part perfectly however WWE has been hesitating to give him a title shot.
Rikishi said,
“What business sense does that make for a company to let the most exciting guy, a guy that is not a liability, a guy that shows up and shows out, a guy that does his job, what does it hurt the company to even give this kid a shot?”
The Hall of Famer continued by saying that he even had a thought to call his son and ask him to take a break, as the company doesn’t know what to do with the creative.
Rikishi said
“I’m at this point where I just want to call my son, ‘Hey, go ahead and just take a break. Because obviously, them writers don’t know where to put you or where you can write something that’s right for the character of Jey Uso, The Yeet Man.’”
Jey Uso could leave WWE for AEW
The Samoan continued explaining how good Jey is and sent a fair warning to WWE saying that if they fail to give him the push he deserves, he could probably move to AEW.
Rikishi said,
“We already know, the kid is so good. WWE ain’t the only spot. He could probably go to AEW if he wanted to write his own ticket, maybe more than what WWE’s making on him.”
Jey Uso is now set to enter the Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s tournament for a future title shot against Bron Breakker. Will Jey be able to clinch his first singles title win by becoming the IC Champion? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
