Jey Uso vs Jimmy Uso announced for WWE WrestleMania 40

Brothers square off in an extremely personal showdown

Some would say that a WrestleMania match pitting Jey Uso against his brother Jimmy Uso has been less than a year in the making, ever since Jimmy Uso turned against Jey to “protect him” at SummerSlam prior to Jey superkicking Jimmy and quitting The Bloodline and SmackDown.

Others might argue that it was destined from the day Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns formed The Bloodline. Or perhaps it was even 38 years ago when The Usos first came into the world together.  Regardless of the reason, “Main Event” Jey Uso and his estranged sibling are about to square off on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Several times, Jimmy and The Bloodline have come to Raw to start trouble and mess with Jey, including costing him an Intercontinental Title Match against Gunther. Jimmy, on the other hand, carries the resentment of his brother leaving him and The Bloodline in what he deems to be Jey’s attempt to make himself a bigger star.The animosity between the brothers boiled over with Jey’s shocking WrestleMania challenge, one that Jimmy was happy to accept.

Rivalry so far

Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso had a heated rivalry since August 2023. Jey Uso’s trade to Monday Night Raw caused a huge delay in the feud. Jimmy interfered in Jey’s match a number of times and cost him all the championship opportunities. With constant interfering, Jey challenged Jimmy for a match, which Jimmy accepted and the match was made official for WrestleMania 40.

WrestleMania 40

WrestleMania is one of the biggest and grandest annual professional wrestling events, which is produced by WWE. It is the longest running pro-wrestling pay-per-view, which is considered as the festival of the wrestling industry. WWE has been hosting WrestleMania since 1985 and this year will mark the 40th edition of the pay-per-view and the first under TKO Group Holdings.

WrestleMania 40 is scheduled to be a two-night event, which will be held on April 6, 2024 (Saturday) & April 7, 2024 (Sunday) from the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 7 Eastern, 4 Pacific. However, Indian fans can watch the show live on April 7, 2024 (Sunday) & April 8, 2024 (Monday) from 4.30 AM.
