The Undisputed WWE Champion is set to team up with Logan Paul!
Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena is set to team up with Logan Paul to battle the team of Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso at the 2025 edition of Money in the Bank tomorrow at the Intuit Dome in California.
Ahead of their clash, the two teams have been feuding since Saturday Night’s Main Event (May 24), and were set to face off for the final time ahead of the clash on the June 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Bakersfield.
Rhodes and Jey had the upper hand as they humiliated Cena and Logan last week, but this time the two came prepared as Paul snuck in, taking out Jey with a massive right hand, while wearing the brass knuckles. Rhodes tried to counter with the cross Rhodes, but Cena took him out with the title.
Cena hit Jey with an AA, while Logan Paul followed up with a pulverizer and then a splash from the top rope onto Rhodes. Cena dragged Jey into position, and Logan hit another splash onto Jey.
John Cena hails Logan Paul as the future of WWE
After laying out Rhodes and Jey, Cena reminded the crowd that he was taking the title home, and Logan would take the Heavyweight title to the top. He declared Logan Paul as “The One of One, the inevitable future face of WWE, the future Heavyweight Champion, Logan Paul.”
Cena dragged Cody back into the ring, while Logan grabbed Jey. Cena delivered an AA to Rhodes as Logan brought Jey back in. The arena then filled with “WE WANT TRUTH” chants as Logan knocked out Jey again, Cena surprisingly acknowledged the chant while in character, stating, “You can’t handle the Truth”.
Cena fired back, calling them pathetic liars and hypocrites as the “WE WANT TRUTH” chants grew even louder, the Undisputed Champion continued
“You can’t handle the Truth. Our Truth is right here staring you in the face and there’s not a damn thing you or anyone who fights for you can do about it.”
Cena ended the segment, declaring that it was his last time in Bakersfield and that, “Winners write the history books, ladies & gentlemen, you’re future Champion and the last real Champion!” The two stars flaunted the two titles as the show came to an end, giving a sneak peek of what’s to come tomorrow.
