‘The GOAT’ is soon going to start his WWE retirement tour

The 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble bout and John Cena’s retirement tour are upcoming things to happen. The WWE Universe has been expecting Cena’s world championship triumph in the last few months of his in-ring career. Cena winning the Men’s Royal Rumble match provides a huge chance to advance the storyline.

However, John Cena is clearly not the only candidate. Among the many possibilities available, The Rock might be the one to stand out in the WWE Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

While ‘The Brahma Bull’ made his return at Bad Blood, he has yet to provide an update on his upcoming appearance on SmackDown. He has been eyeing Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship for a while.

According to Wrestling/eVotes, during a live Q&A with Bill Apter on Backstage Pass, some big names are in the running to win the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. John Cena and The Rock are unquestionably two of the most promising candidates. However, Roman Reigns is also said to be a contender.

In addition to these three, CM Punk and Seth Rollins are two more individuals at the top of the list who might win the match.

“Just in conversation I’ve heard names and they’re all names that you expect to be there. Roman Reigns, John Cena. You know if it’s for the world title, I’d look for CM Punk or Seth Rollins to be the winner. But even The Rock is a possibility. So, someone at the very top of the card is the oneI’d imagine standing tall at the end.”

John Cena’s retirement tour date revealed

The Cenation Leader revealed at Money in the Bank that he will compete at Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania 41, and future events, with his last bout slated for December 2025. The WWE universe already considers him as The Greatest of All Time.

WrestleVotes reported that John Cena’s retirement tour will begin on January 6 with the launch of RAW on Netflix.

“I do believe the official retirement tour is going to start on January 6, that’s a part of Netflix. Potential opponents? We’ve spoken in the past about Randy Orton, CM Punk, I can see him mixing it up with Logan Paul one point over the next 12 months, so I think there’s a wide-open book for John Cena here in 2025.”
