Ahead of their final clash at Crown Jewel, let us analyze the iconic rivalry between the two!

The 17-time WWE World Champion, John Cena has had a long and active career in the WWE, which has been marked by iconic rivalries and matches against some of the top names, legends and veterans of the game. ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles is one such stars who Cena has had locked horns in the past.

Cena, who is currently on his retirement tour, has been revisiting his old rivalries one final time ahead of his retirement. He has battled CM Punk, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, and R-Truth, among many, to give fans a farewell to remember.

The retirement tour is currently in it’s leg and there are only five appearances left, before Cena hangs up his wrestling boots. While fans got to see Cena wrestle many of his old nemesis, there are still many who they wanted Cena to wrestle one final time.

Cena started paying homage to many of his old rivals during his matches as it was not possible to wrestle everyone before the end of his tour, given his busy schedule, promotional hurdles and some stars being either retired or signed with different promotions.

John Cena himself ahead of this week’s Monday Night Raw, where he specifically mentioned a potential clash with Styles and asked for fans’ thoughts on the matter. “#CenavsStyles Thoughts? #WWERAW” Cena tweeted.

Cena and Styles both have expressed their desire to lock horns one final time inside the squared circle. Cena even paid homage to Styles during Clash in Paris when he hit Logan Paul with Styles Clash. Cena after his initial tweet, doubled down, tagging both Styles and Triple H, asking to book the match for the upcoming Crown Jewel 2025.

The WWE CCO later made the match official via his X handle, posting the match poster. Cena has no confirmed appearance before the PLE, which mean fans won’t get to see a promo battle between the two stars.

Let us take a look at the head-to-head record of the two veterans in WWE.
