The iconic MSG played host to SNME before SummerSlam.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event made its long-awaited return to Madison Square Garden on July 18, 2026, marking the show’s first visit to the World’s Most Famous Arena since 2007.
With Fanatics Fest NYC running the same weekend across town at the Javits Center, the crossover of sports and entertainment worlds brought a stacked celebrity turnout to the arena.
The show itself delivered on star power inside the ring, with Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk and Cody Rhodes taking on Gunther and Sami Zayn in the main event, while Fatal Influence dethroned Paige and Brie Bella to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson headlined the celebrity contingent as part of a segment with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, while his teammate Karl-Anthony Towns was pulled directly into the action during the Danhausen versus JD McDonagh bout. Boxing champion Terence Crawford, rapper Neon, and actor O’Shea Jackson Jr. were also spotted among the MSG crowd as the show unfolded.
