WWE gears up for the two-night spectacle, SummerSlam 2026, with the official Kickoff Show from Fanatics Fest in New York City, featuring expert analysis, match previews, superstar face-offs and interviews, and updates before WWE‘s Summer’s Biggest Party emanates on August 1 and 2 from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will meet once again next month
Among the matches announced for SummerSlam is a World Heavyweight title showdown where the reigning Champion Roman Reigns takes on Seth Rollins. On the other hand, Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk will defend the title against Cody Rhodes.
Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan defends against Iyo Sky, while Oba Femi battles Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match. Furthermore, Intercontinental Champion Penta defends against Chad Gable, and LA Knight teams up with Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys to take on the Usos and Jacob Fatu.
SmackDown’s acting General Manager Adam Pearce announced that SummerSlam will now feature a ladder match to crown an interim WWE Women’s Champion as Rhea Ripley remains out of action due to the knee injury she sustained at Crown Jewel.
Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill qualified for the ladder match on the same show, defeating Jacy Jayne and Nia Jax, respectively. In the third qualifying match on the July 24 show, Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax will battle to secure the third spot.

The 39th edition will air as a two-night spectacle on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Where can fans tune in to catch all the action?
Fans in the U.S. can tune into ESPN, while international fans can tune into Netflix (excluding select markets) to watch the PLE live from 6 PM ET.
