WWE makes history with a Sunday show in Atlanta.
WWE’s Labor Day weekend special sees the promotion stage Sunday Night’s Main Event for the first time ever, live from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 6.
The one-night twist on the long-running Saturday Night’s Main Event brand is headlined by a personal WrestleMania 42 rematch between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, playing out in Rhodes’ own hometown.
Orton’s shock return at SummerSlam saw him hit Rhodes with an RKO, costing “The American Nightmare” his shot at reclaiming the Undisputed WWE Championship from CM Punk. That moment has snowballed into one of WWE’s most personal rivalries of the year, and it finally boils over in Atlanta.
Elsewhere on the card, two of WWE’s brightest prospects collide as Bron Breakker takes on Oba Femi, while rapper Lil Yachty makes his in-ring debut in a five-minute challenge against United States Champion Baron Corbin — with Trick Williams’ title hopes hanging in the balance. Rounding out the card, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley face Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab in six-woman tag team action.
