Before SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis, WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event returns this weekend for the third time in 2026. The 45th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place on July 18 at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
The upcoming event marks the first SNME to be held at Madison Square Garden since the 35th edition of the show in August 2007.
A major tag team match with major SummerSlam implications is announced for the show as Undisputed Champion CM Punk teams up with his SummerSlam opponent Cody Rhodes to take on the team of Sami Zayn and Gunther.
On the other hand, Danhausen is all set to take on Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh in a no-disqualification match at MSG on July 18, while Bayley and Lyra Valkyria met face-to-face for the first time since Lyra turned on Bayley, ending their tag team runs.
Furthermore, Brie Bella and Paige will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles against Fatal Influence’s Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley. Additionally, as announced by the promotion, New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson has accepted Roman Reigns’ invitation for SNME, and both stars will be in attendance.
