The Hall of Famer recently made an appearance on the Raw Netflix debut
WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan’s ‘planned’ appearance didn’t go as planned as he was mercilessly booed by the fans at the Intuit Dome. Hogan made an appearance during the historic debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix which was held at the Intuit Dome on January 6.
The debut episode featured four high-stakes matches along with multiple high-profile returns including John Cena, The Rock, and Hulk Hogan. ‘The Hulkster’ made his appearance along with fellow legend Jimmy Hart.
Hogan was on the debut show to hype the transition to Netflix and to promote his brand, Real American Beer. The Hulkster was rocking the Real American Beer tee while Jimmy Hart was waving the American flag behind him.
However, the segment quickly went viral for all the wrong reasons as the fans heavily booed him. Following the saga at the Intuit Dome, there were murmurs that WWE fans may not see him as often on television from now on.
Hulk Hogan is set to appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Texas
According to Dave Meltzer, the Hulkster is slated for Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25th. Although details about the promotion’s plans are unclear. Notably, Jesse Ventura who is scheduled to appear at the event, has historically held a grudge against Hogan.
The grudge stemmed from Hogan’s role in informing Vince McMahon about Ventura’s attempts to organize a wrestlers’ union in the past. Ventura also made an appearance on the December 14, 2024 edition of SNME which was the first SNME since 2008.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed Hogan’s appearance for Saturday Night’s Main Event and discussed various scenarios in which Hogan could appear. He also touched on the possibility of a face-to-face encounter between Hogan and Jesse Ventura.
“So Hogan’s gonna be on that show, the January 25. When Hogan was shown on the screen in the building, they booed like crazy. It’s going to be interesting. Do they put him in front of the crowd and risk him being booed, or does he come out and maybe the crowd doesn’t boo? I don’t know. The other interesting one is Hogan and Jesse.
I don’t expect any problems. They’re both like, you know, Jesse 73 and Hogan 71 you know? I mean, I’m sure Jesse will never like Hulk Hogan, and I don’t think Hulk Hogan will ever like Jesse.” Meltzer said.
