Jade Cargill has sustained ‘multiple injuries’ due to the attack on SmackDown
One-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Jade Cargill was severely injured due to an attack on the 11/22 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Cargill was left bloodied and unconscious on the hood of a car with a broken windshield. Bianca Belair was competing in the Women’s US Title tournament when her partner was attacked. The promotion has not yet revealed who was behind the attack on Cargill.
WWE officials and the medical team quickly rushed to her side, and she was swiftly transported by ambulance to the hospital. Belair left the tournament match and rushed to her tag partner’s side when she was being shifted.
The Stamford-based promotion has now provided an update on the tag champion’s injury. She was also scheduled to take part in the Women’s WarGames match at the upcoming PLE.
Jade Cargill has been removed from the Women’s WarGames match
As per the WWE, Cargill has suffered multiple injuries due to that heinous attack on the last episode of the blue brand. The promotion has also noted that there is no timeline for her return.
“Jade Cargill has been diagnosed with the following injuries: Deep Lumbar Paraspinal Muscle Contusions, Bruised Kidney, Sprained MCL in her right knee, Tibial Plateau Bone Bruise of her right knee, Facial Lacerations. There is no timetable for her return.” The promotion tweeted.
Cargill was scheduled to take part in the Women’s WarGames match at the Survivor Series 2024 PLE. The team of Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, Iyo Sky, Naomi & Rhea Ripley was scheduled to take on the team of Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez & Candice Larae.
However, due to her injury, she will be out of the clash at the upcoming PLE. Former multi-time champion Bayley has taken her place in the WarGames clash.
According to reports, Cargill is dealing with a legitimate injury, which is the reason she was written out of the Women’s WarGames match. The injury has reportedly forced the promotion to adjust their plans, leading to her removal from the high-stakes contest.
Bayley officially joined Team Ripley as their fifth member on the 11/29 episode of SmackDown, which was pre-taped following the 11/22 episode in Salt Lake City.
