John Cena will be aiming for a World title opportunity

WWE Superstar John Cena took to social media to provide an update on the forthcoming Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. The Cenation Leader is preparing for what may be his final Chamber match.

John Cena declared last year that he would retire at the end of 2025. The 16-time World Champion has also pledged to attend practically all major performances this year. The legend maintained his word when he competed in this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble.

However, after failing to win the 30-man tournament, a disappointed Cena declared his participation in this year’s Men’s Elimination Chamber Match, hoping to win and challenge Cody Rhodes for the championship at WrestleMania 41.

John Cena used Instagram to offer an update ahead of the PLE. The Cenation Leader shared a mysterious snapshot of his gym training session prior of the Elimination Chamber.

During an episode of the Something to Wrestle podcast, JBL revealed that his prediction of John Cena winning the Rumble was incorrect, but he was pleased that Jey Uso won.

The WWE Hall of Famer also said that he was “doubling down” on The Cenation Leader to win this year’s Elimination Chamber.

“I was wrong at the Royal Rumble [predicting Cena to win], and I was happy I was wrong because I love Jey Uso and I felt the swerve was really well done,” JBL said. “Yes, I’m doubling down on John Cena. I think that promo he cut was just magnificent, and there’s only one like him. I think throw him a bone. I hope he goes over. I’m excited that he’s there.”

It remains to be seen what Triple H’s creative staff has in store for John Cena at the WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
