WWE star Piper Niven shared an emotional health update after recently undergoing major neck surgery following months away from the ring.
Piper Niven has been sidelined since August 2025 due to a serious neck injury, and the former WWE star revealed this week that she recently underwent an anterior discectomy procedure.
The surgery is commonly used to treat spinal cord compression, herniated discs, and pinched nerves by removing the damaged disc and fusing vertebrae together. In many cases, surgeons also use a metal plate to stabilize the area during recovery.
Niven took to social media to update fans on her condition and reflect on what has been an emotionally difficult eight-month stretch.

In a heartfelt post, Niven admitted there is still much she wants to say about the experience, though she plans to discuss those details at a later time.
“I have so much I want to say about the past 8 months but we can get to that later,” Niven wrote.
“For now, I just want to express my endless love and gratitude for every single soul that has helped me and cared for me during this difficult and really scary time.”
She also described the emotional toll the injury and recovery process had taken on her life, while expressing optimism about the future.
“Pain and heartbreak are incredible teachers and the lessons I have learned from this will stay with me forever. I am so grateful to wake up from surgery already feeling better and I know I am coming out the other side of this so much stronger for the experience.”
According to medical guidance, recovery from an anterior discectomy can take six months or longer, making it too early to determine when Niven may return to in-ring action.
Chelsea Green also dealing with health setbacks

Niven’s surgery comes during a difficult stretch for her former ally Chelsea Green as well. The duo previously worked together on WWE SmackDown as part of Chelsea Green’s “Secret Hervice,” alongside Alba Fyre. However, Fyre was recently released from WWE, leaving Green without her longtime allies.
Green herself recently underwent surgery after dealing with supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) for nearly a decade. Doctors reportedly corrected the issue through a three-hour procedure, and she is expected back relatively soon.
Meanwhile, Niven’s journey appears longer and more uncertain, though her latest message made it clear she remains determined to come back stronger.
