Survivor Series is the final PLE of 2025.

With the conclusion of the November 1 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, all eyes have turned to the final PLE of 2025, which is Survivor Series: WarGames. The final PLE of 2025 is set to take place on November 29 at Petco Park in San Diego, California.

The show will contain the two marquee WarGames matches in the men’s and women’s divisions. However, as the PLE approaches, there is a lot of uncertainity around the planned matches, especially since Seth Rollins’ injury, which has thrown a lot of uncertainty around the men’s WarGames match.

A new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now provided an update on WWE’s plans for the men’s and women’s WarGames matches.

The upcoming shows are anticipated to shed light on the storyline’s direction

According to Dave Melter, the original lineup for the men’s WarGames match featured CM Punk, Jey Uso, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, and either Jimmy Uso or LA Knight as the babyface team.

Their opponents were expected to be a heel squad made up of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar, and Austin Theory. According to Meltzer, if Fatu isn’t able to participate, his spot could be filled by either Knight or Jimmy Uso.

Obviously, Rollins is now sidelined due to injury, and per the report, Logan Paul has been discussed as a potential replacement.

The upcoming shows are expected to shed more light on the storyline direction for both Lesnar and Theory, as their roles could change with WWE’s evolving creative plans. Meltzer also hinted at “major angles” set to take place during the Monday Night Raw episode at Madison Square Garden on Monday, November 17th.

The Women’s WarGames match might feature AJ Lee

For the women’s division, Meltzer reported that early plans called for a match featuring AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss taking on Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Kairi Sane.

However, Ripley’s involvement is still up in the air as she continues to recover from a broken nose, which she suffered during the Japan tour. So far, the only matchup hinted at has been Flair and Bliss vs Asuka and Sane, scheduled for this Monday’s Raw in Boston.

Meltzer also hinted that Survivor Series could feature an Intercontinental Championship bout between Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio. Originally, John Cena was slated to take Rey’s spot and capture the title, but the planned father-son clash could instead pave the way for a Cena appearance in San Diego.

The report also notes that Cena, who has four dates left on his current run, might still show up at Survivor Series, though he’s more likely to appear on the next two episodes of Raw before wrapping up with his final match on December 13th.
