Rapper Lil Yachty reveals he is ‘losing money’ during ongoing WWE run

Lil Yachty says his WWE involvement is costing him money.
Lil Yachty has opened up about the surprising financial reality of his WWE run, revealing that his involvement with professional wrestling is not exactly a lucrative side venture.
The rapper has become increasingly involved with WWE, working as Trick Williams’ manager before transitioning into an in-ring role. However, during an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Yachty made it clear that money is not the reason he has embraced wrestling.
“I don’t want anybody thinking I’m getting some crazy check,” Yachty said. “I’m losing money doing this, but I love it. I love everything about this sh*tt.”
Yachty explained that his WWE commitments have affected how much other work he is able to do. He also has a security guard, assistants, and friends accompanying him on the road, adding further responsibilities and expenses to his schedule.

Despite the financial reality, Yachty has no regrets about his decision to become involved with WWE. The rapper has repeatedly shown that his interest in wrestling extends beyond simply making appearances.
Yachty has attended WWE shows as a fan for years, and that passion eventually turned into an active role. He made his WWE debut as Williams’ manager on Friday Night SmackDown in March 2026.
That association continued over the following months, including an appearance at WrestleMania 42, where Yachty accompanied Williams to the ring. He eventually took another major step by making his own in-ring debut.
Lil Yachty has already set his sights on the WWE Hall of Fame
Yachty made his in-ring debut at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6, facing Baron Corbin in a five-minute match.
The stipulation was simple: if Yachty survived the five-minute time limit, Williams would receive another opportunity to challenge Corbin for the United States Championship. Yachty successfully lasted the distance, allowing Williams to regain the championship later that night.
When asked about his long-term goals in WWE, Yachty revealed that he has his sights set on the WWE Hall of Fame. For someone who only recently transitioned from being a fan to an active participant, that is an ambitious target.
“I’m doing this ’cause I love this sh*t; this is, like, everything to me,” Yachty said.
His comments underline just how seriously he has embraced professional wrestling. While the financial side may not currently work in his favor, Yachty appears more interested in the experience, the performances, and the opportunity to pursue something he has loved for years.
