The fallout from Backlash 2026 will be addressed tonight as WWE heads to Knoxville.

The 2026 edition of Backlash is in the books. Roman Reigns survived a brutal war with Jacob Fatu in Tampa, Florida, retaining the World Heavyweight Championship, but the story is far from over.

Fatu’s vicious post-match assault and Reigns’ declaration that “Backlash was his last night” have set the stage for a fiery fallout edition of Monday Night Raw.

Tonight, the Red brand rolls into the Food City Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, and the card is loaded. From Roman Reigns’ acknowledgment ceremony to Oba Femi’s ongoing open challenge and a six-man tag team clash, WWE Raw is promising fireworks on Monday night. Here is everything announced for tonight’s show.

What’s in store for tonight’s WWE Raw?

The most anticipated segment of the night is undoubtedly Roman Reigns‘ acknowledgment ceremony, and Jacob Fatu has been confirmed to take part in it.

The fallout from Backlash has been seismic. While Reigns successfully pinned Fatu to retain the World Heavyweight title, the Samoan Werewolf had the last laugh, launching a savage post-match assault and locking in the Tongan Death Grip on the Champion. An injured and furious Reigns later declared that Backlash was Fatu’s last night, but General Manager Adam Pearce has other ideas.

Pearce has confirmed that Fatu will be present at the acknowledgment ceremony tonight. With the bad blood between these two at an all-time high, the segment is a powder keg waiting to explode. Can Reigns maintain control, or will Fatu once again leave him gasping for air? All eyes will be on this one.

Following what is sure to be an eventful night at Backlash, Women’s Tag Team Champions Brie Bella and Paige are set to make their presence felt on Raw. GM Adam Pearce has confirmed that the duo will appear to formally respond to The Judgment Day’s challenge for their titles.

The Judgment Day, featuring Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, and Raquel Rodriguez on the women’s side, has been a dominant force on Raw. Whether tonight’s response sets up an imminent title match or escalates into a full-blown brawl remains to be seen, but the champions are unlikely to back down without a fight.

The Knoxville faithful are in for a treat as Oba Femi’s open challenge rolls on. The physically imposing star has been putting the entire Raw roster on notice, and no one has been able to stop him yet.

Since issuing the open challenge, Femi has been dominant, defeating all challengers with ease. Tonight, another superstar will step up, but the question is whether anyone on the roster has what it takes to knock off this unstoppable force. Who will answer the challenge in Tennessee?

A blockbuster six-man tag team match is set for tonight as The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) join forces with Joe Hendry to take on The Vision: Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory.

The Vision’s actions at Backlash have added significant fuel to this fire. Bron Breakker defeated Seth Rollins, thanks in part to interference from Vision members, including a pivotal moment involving Paul Heyman. The fallout from that result is sure to factor into tonight’s clash, with both sides carrying plenty of unfinished business into the ring.

Hendry, meanwhile, has been building momentum since his Raw debut, and tonight represents a massive opportunity for him to prove himself on the grandest stage alongside one of the most electric teams in WWE. The Street Profits and Hendry will need to be on the same page to deal with the cunning and ruthless Vision.

  • Women’s Tag Team Champions Brie Bella & Paige respond to The Judgment Day’s challenge
  • Oba Femi Open Challenge continues
  • The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) & Joe Hendry vs The Vision (Bron Breakker, Logan Paul & Austin Theory)
  • Jacob Fatu will partake in Roman Reigns’ acknowledgment ceremony
  • Aftermath of the Backlash PLE
  • CM Punk, Logan Paul, Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, Stephanie Vaquer & Roman Reigns are listed as featured superstars

Returns expected on tonight’s WWE Raw

No returns have been officially confirmed for tonight’s Raw in Knoxville. However, with a post-PLE fallout show, WWE rarely misses the opportunity to shake up the landscape with a surprise or two.

Seth Rollins is the most obvious candidate. After suffering a tainted loss to Bron Breakker at Backlash, where The Vision’s interference played a decisive role, Rollins will be looking for answers and retribution. A fiery response from The Visionary tonight would make complete sense, especially with the six-man tag match involving The Vision already on the card.

Asuka’s status is equally compelling. Her emotionally charged loss to Iyo Sky at Backlash, followed by a post-match embrace, has sparked widespread speculation about her WWE future. Whether she appears tonight to address those rumours or bid a formal farewell remains to be seen, but her presence in Knoxville cannot be ruled out.

CM Punk is listed among the featured superstars for tonight’s show, and with no match currently on the books, his appearance is likely to be significant. With Backlash now behind him and the road to Clash in Italy opening up, Punk could use tonight to set his sights on a new target. Fans will be watching closely to see which direction WWE steers him next.
