Lineup for WWE Raw (August 17, 2026): Roman Reigns returns to address Bloodline drama; Rey Mysterio in action & more

Raw returns this Monday with a stacked card.

WWE announced a major match between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes for the upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event in September. Following the announcement, fans are also anticipating more match announcements on tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw.

Additionally, WWE will also continue the build towards Money in the Bank PLE as major title feuds take center stage on the Red brand. Ahead of tonight’s edition of the Red Brand, let us now take a look at what’s in store tonight.

What’s in store for tonight’s WWE Raw?

Tonight’s August 17 edition of Monday Night Raw will air live from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. Regarding what’s been announced, the tournament to decide the challenger for Reigns on the September 14 edition of Raw in Mexico City will continue on the show.

Rey Fenix will take on El Fiscal in the first matchup, while Dragon Lee will face El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in the other. The winners will advance to the semifinals, joining Penta and La Parka, both of whom secured their spots last week on Raw and AAA, respectively.

On the other hand, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will return to programming this Monday after being absent from programming last week as the Bloodline drama takes center stage once again.

After losing to Jey Uso last week, Solo Sikoa will have to join the Bloodline, and as per the stipulation, Jey Uso will deliver Sikoa to Reigns this Monday on WWE Raw.

GM Adam Pearce has also announced two more matches for this Monday’s show. As mutually agreed last week, Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable will defend the title against Rey Mysterio.

On the other hand, after confronting Sol Ruca backstage last week, Lyra Valkyria now has the chance to beat Ruca and stake a claim to the Women’s Intercontinental title.

Returns expected on tonight’s WWE Raw

With multiple stars already back on programming, no major returns are expected for WWE Raw tonight, as the remaining names are either still injured or out of action for various reasons.

That said, Royce Keys is sidelined with a storyline injury after the Street Fight with Jacob Fatu two weeks ago and could return tonight to help Solo Sikoa against The Bloodline if the latter decides to defy the order and take matters into his own hands.
