John Cena’s return to Brooklyn creates buzz ahead of WWE Raw.
John Cena’s much-anticipated return to WWE Raw is among the biggest talking points ahead of the November 2 episode at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The 17-time world champion is set to make a special appearance and deliver an announcement, marking his first appearance on the red brand since retiring from in-ring competition.
His return comes just days before Crown Jewel 2026, adding further interest to the final Raw episode before the Premium Live Event. The episode will also feature World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and has gained two additional matches, including an Intercontinental Championship defence and a six-man tag team contest.

What’s in store for tonight’s WWE Raw?
The November 2 episode will feature three announced matches, along with appearances by John Cena and Roman Reigns. The only championship match on the night will see Chad Gable putting the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Ethan Page. The contest follows the recent rivalry between the two, which also involved Dragon Lee and Big Cass.
Other big match includes high flying action with Penta, Evans and Dragon Lee joining hands against The Vision. While the Faction targeted every wrestler individually, the Six-man tag team match will provide much action.
Another big faction rivalry includes the feud between The Bloodline and The 946. It will continue when Solo Sikoa faces Royce Keys in singles action. Keys challenged Sikoa during the October 26 episode of Raw, looking to settle their differences inside the ring. The Bloodline member subsequently accepted the challenge.
Member of Bloodline and reigning World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will appear on Raw to address Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn ahead of their Champion vs. Champion match at Crown Jewel. Cena will make his first appearance on the red brand since retiring from in-ring competition in December 2025.
The 17-time world champion is expected to make a special announcement during the show. Cena previously introduced the inaugural John Cena Classic during his appearance at Backlash 2026. His Brooklyn appearance could provide further details about the tournament.
Their complicated history, particularly their association during the original Bloodline storyline, adds another layer to the upcoming contest. Reigns’ appearance could provide one final opportunity to send a message to Zayn before their showdown.
- Chad Gable (c) vs Ethan Page – Intercontinental Championship
- The Vision vs Penta, Je’Von Evans & Dragon Lee – Six-Man Tag Team Match
- Solo Sikoa vs Royce Keys
- John Cena to make a special announcement
- Roman Reigns to address Sami Zayn
- Oba Femi, Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Sol Ruca, & Penta are listed among the featured Superstars
Returns expected on tonight’s WWE Raw
While there are no major returns mentioned in the promotion except John Cena’s announced return, fans can expect Stephanie Vaquer to take some spotlight.
Her match against Becky Lynch was cancelled last week, and this week her return could make the match official, possibly for the upcoming Crown Jewel PLE.
