Last week’s Raw addressed the fallout from Backlash 2026.

Last week’s edition of Monday Night Raw addressed the fallout from the Backlash PLE, which concluded on May 9 in Tampa, Florida. The show also continued the build towards the upcoming edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event and Clash in Italy.

Two matches for the May 23 edition of SNME were announced, while WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella responded to the challenge from Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez).

Roman Reigns also held an acknowledgement ceremony, where Jacob Fatu not only refused to acknowledge him but also attacked him once again, even taking down the Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), who tried to reason with him and avoid triggering a Bloodline civil war.

Tonight, the Red brand rolls into the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, for the May 18 show, which will serve as the go-home edition for the upcoming May 23 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Fans are expecting more match announcements for the show, where only three matches have been announced so far. That said, General Manager Adam Pearce has announced the card for tonight’s show.

Pearce has announced that World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will respond to last week’s attack by Jacob Fatu. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Reigns responds to the second brutal attack by Fatu, despite the loss at Backlash.

Meanwhile, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella will defend the titles against Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. On the other hand, Oba Femi will continue his open challenge, even though no one is willing to answer it.

Additionally, he also announced a ‘Trios tornado tag’ where the team of El Grande Americano and Los Americanos (Rayo & Bravo) will take on “Original” Grande Americano and Los Americanos Hermanos (Bruto & Julio Credo) in a Six-Man Tornado Tag Team match.

Returns expected on tonight’s WWE Raw

WWE RAW

A name speculated for a potential return on tonight’s show is none other than the former Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. She has been absent from programming since last month, when Judgment Day, led by Liv Morgan, ambushed her backstage.

PWInsider‘s Mike Johnson reported that WWE has recently held creative discussions regarding Vaquer’s return. Additionally, there is speculation within the company that Vaquer could make her comeback as early as this week’s episode of RAW in Greensboro, North Carolina

Other than Vaquer, the show might feature appearances from SmackDown stars the Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend), who will likely interfere in the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles match to set up a clash with the Champions at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event.
