Last week’s Raw capped off the build towards SNME.
Last week’s edition of Monday Night Raw capped off the build towards the May 23 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which concluded last weekend in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The show featured multiple stars from the Red brand.
World Tag Team Champions Logan Paul and Austin Theory of the Vision retained the title against the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins), thanks to their stablemates Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker. On the other hand, Penta pinned Ethan Page in an incredible match to retain the Intercontinental title.
Meanwhile, Sol Ruca defeated Becky Lynch in a non-title match via disqualification, thanks to Becky’s shenanigans, once again with referee Jessika Carr at the bitter end of it. A rematch has now been announced for Clash in Italy, with the Intercontinental title on the line.
Speaking of Clash in Italy, while tonight’s show will address the aftermath from SNME, it will also serve as the go-home show for the aforementioned PLE this weekend and will cap off the build tonight.
What’s in store for tonight’s WWE Raw?

Tonight, the Red brand rolls into the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, for a show that is shaping up to be a consequential one ahead of Clash in Italy. CM Punk, Stephanie Vaquer, Oba Femi, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory are listed as featured superstars.
Ahead of their title rematch in Italy, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu will meet for the final time to sign the contract on Monday, making the match official.
On the other hand, after Brock Lesnar returned to attack Oba Femi last week, Paul Heyman informed General Manager Adam Pearce that Lesnar has challenged Femi to a match at Clash in Italy. Femi is now set to kick off the broadcast this Monday and is anticipated to answer the challenge.
During his preview for the show, GM Adam Pearce also announced a tag team match where Bayley and Lyra Valkyria will take on Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Pearce also stated that he expects a difficult night on Monday with Becky Lynch after what transpired at SNME.

Returns expected on tonight’s WWE Raw

The packed schedule for this month’s WWE means major returns will likely be saved for PLES. That said, former World Champions CM Punk and Stephanie Vaquer are listed as featured superstars.
While Punk’s return seems unlikely, especially before a PLE, if WWE doesn’t have a solid storyline in place for her. On the other hand, Vaquer’s return from injury has been reported, and her return to television was anticipated before Clash in Italy, to set up the title rematch against Liv Morgan.
It remains to be seen if WWE decides on Vaquer’s return and sets up the rematch or prolongs it for a later date and focuses on the build towards Clash in Italy.
