A-Town-Down Under are the current WWE Tag Team Champions
The WWE Tag Team Championship is one of the prestigious tag team championships, which is created and promoted by WWE. The title was originally established in October 2002, to counter Raw’s World Tag Team Championship. The title was active until 2009 when the titles were unified with the World Tag Team Championship to form the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.
The title was decommissioned in 2010, however, the Championship reign after that is recognized as the World Tag Team Championship and Raw Tag Team Championship. In 2016 after the second brand split, WWE introduced a new SmackDown Tag Team Championship, which is currently known as the WWE Tag Team Championship, and it is defended in the SmackDown brand.
WWE Tag Team Championship Legacy
Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit are the first-ever WWE Tag Team Champions of the original title. Whereas Rhyno & Heath Slater are the first ever WWE Tag Team Champions (fka SmackDown Tag Team Champions) of the new lineage titles.
Current WWE Tag Team Champions
A-Town-Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) are the current WWE Tag Team Champions, who won their titles at WrestleMania XL Night 1 in the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Ladder match. They are currently on their first reign and are having over 50+ days of reign.
