The first edition of the WrestleMania PLE was held in 1985
While World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) hosts multiple Premium Live Events (PLE) throughout the year beginning with the Royal Rumble PLE and concluding with the Survivor Series: WarGames PLE. However, there’s one, the WrestleMania PLE that stands out, one PLE which is dubbed as the ‘Grandest stage of them all’.
Since premiering in 1985, the grandest stage has delivered some of the most iconic matches and moments, that has edged its name in not just in the WWE but in pro wrestling history. The first Mania PLE emanated on March 31, 1985, at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The main event of the show was a tag-team match between World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan and Mr. T who battled the team of Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. Since 1985 the promotion has delivered 40 Mania PLEs and is now preparing to deliver the 41st edition this month.
The 41st edition of the PLE is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on April 19 and 20, 2025. The massive event will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA. This is the second WrestleMania to take place in the Las Vegas area.
