Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley confirmed for WWE SummerSlam 2024 on RAW this week

Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley have a long storyline as friend & foe

Liv Morgan on the Raw after WrestleMania 40, attacked Rhea Ripley backstage causing a legitimate shoulder injury. This made Ripley vacate her Women’s World Championship after completing a year of reign.

In the absence of Ripley, Liv resumed her revenge tour and started taking everything that belonged to Rhea Ripley. Liv took her Women’s World Championship, her WrestleMania opponent (Becky Lynch) and is almost halfway down in taking Dominik Mysterio & Judgment Day from Ripley.

As Liv Morgan’s tour is almost done, Rhea made her WWE return last week catching both Liv & Dom red-handed, when they tried to indulge in a romantic celebration, after their win against Rey Mysterio & Zelina Vega. At this stage, Ripley had a long time to address a lot of things on this week’s Raw. Here we take a look at whether she got the title shot for the Women’s World Championship, which she never lost.

Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley for SummerSlam 2024

Rhea Ripley kicked off the 7/15 episode of Monday Night Raw and addressed her three-month-long hiatus and the person responsible for taking her out from WWE TV. Rhea said that Liv has something that she owns, but it’s not Dominik Mysterio. Ripley said that she wanted her title back, which she never lost.

She called out Liv Morgan to the stage to get her title back, but only to see Dominik Mysterio coming out with the roses to convince her. Morgan then appeared on the big screen teasing Ripley and Dominik. Liv still wanted to take everything from Ripley. Although Ripley returns, Liv claims herself on top.

Ripley cut her off and quickly challenged for the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam 2024. Liv didn’t hesitate and accepted Ripley’s challenge. After Liv went from the titration, Rhea promised not only to end her championship reign but also to her in-ring career.

As both accepted the challenge the match is merely confirmed, however, WWE is yet to officially announce the match for the PLE. There are chances that they could add more stipulations to this match, however, nothing is confirmed yet.
